An Oxytocin preparation for use in domesticated animals.

ILUALCIN is a sterile aqueous solution containing 20 I.U. Oxytocin per ml, which has stimulant effects on the smooth muscles of the uterus and the mammary gland.

COMPOSITION:

Each mL contains Oxytocin (Synthetic) .................. 20 I.U

INDICATIONS: Birth associated with uterine atonicity, whenever no physical obstruction is present and the cervix is completely dilated; retention of the placenta; postpartum hemorrhages; in the cases of metritis and pyometra, to expel pathological exudates; in mastitis, to obtain complete emptying of the under before administration of antibiotics; for agalactia in sown, to stimulate milk secretion. In. surgery it can be used post-operative following the caesarian section to facilitate involution and resistance to the large flow of blood.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Do not use in case of Dystocia due to abnormal presentation of the fetus until a correction is accomplished.

By Intramuscular IM, Subcutaneous SC, or slow intravenous IV Injection

PRECAUTIONS: Ilualcin Injection should be administered with due caution. Do not use a higher dosage than recommended. For prepartum usage, full relaxation of the cervix should be ascertained.

EXPIRATION: FEBRUARY 2025

WARNING: Milk taken from treated animals within 24 hours after the last treatment must not be used for food. Treated animals must not be slaughtered or used as food for human consumption at least 3 days after the latest treatment.
