REDBIK IRON Injectable /10 ml/20ml/100ml

Rapidly absorbed from the injection site.
Iron is essential for the formation of hemoglobin which transport oxygen throughout the body.
Stimulate the restoration of tissue enzymes and replenishes iron stores.

COMPOSITION:
Each mL contains:
Iron Dextran equivalent to ......... 100 mg

INDICATIONS
For safe, effective preventive and treatment for iron deficiency anemia. It is also indicated where diseases causing increase destruction or loss of hemoglobin lead to anemic conditions. Piglets reared under present day intensive conditions are born with low reserves and as their needs are not adequately supplied form natural sources as they inevitably will run into an iron deficiency anemia. It then weakens the piglet's resistance to secondary infections such as scours and pneumonia and the new born with its low level of antibodies is particularly predisposed.

USE AND DOSAGE
Piglets: 1-2 ml at 3 days old provide, booster shot at 10 days old same. Done by intramuscular injection.
Sow: 4-5 ml
Calves: 4-8 ml
Lamb: 2-3 ml
Inject deep intramuscular.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not inject more than 5 ml at once site. Care must be taken when injection to piglets born from old or malnourished sown that are likely deficient in Vitamin E and Selenium because of increased chances of toxicity. To overcome this problem, give adequate doses of Vitamin E and or Selenium at least 24 hours before injecting iron.
